I appreciate you so very much. I've been so busy with my job that I have tried to work extra fast so I have more time at night to enjoy your "Great Hymn Arranging" DVD's. I ordered a second set of DVD's to send to my friend. That ought to tell you how much I like the course!

Those tips are great. I was already using the ballad (C,G, C and ballad 10th--(C,G,C,D,E) in my playing, but you have given me so many more ideas. I love to be exposed to the spontaneous ways gifted people express themselves through playing the favorite old hymns. Perhaps it is because when I was young and lived so far from a town where I could get lessons that I now still love sitting at the piano and figuring out for myself what others are doing and trying to incorporate techniques into my renditions as I did when I was a beginner. I'm nowhere close to being as skilled as you are, but I love music, love to pour myself into the hymns. Sometimes I play the same hymn for an hour or so just in different styles and moods.

I do appreciate you for your talent, your knowledge, and your ability to teach in a manner that I can understand what you are teaching.
